Ever wondered what you are really good at? What are your strengths? Your talents?

“During the first part of your life, you discover what your talents are. In the second part, you learn how to use them for the good of society.” - Thomas Brenninkmeijer, MBA lecturer at Stanford

Easier said than done.

Most of us struggle all our lives to discover our “talents”. Stuck between what we should be doing, and what we want to do and are really good at, we often choose the first option for more security, leading to a less fulfilling life.

Some of us don’t even have the privilege to expose ourselves to new environments, possibilities, people, and ways of thinking.

So, how do you find out what you are truly good at?

The answer might be closer than you think.

Allison Kluger, MBA lecturer at Stanford for Strategic Pivoting for your Next Chapter class, teaches students how to make conscious decisions about their career, and pivot to a more fulfilling job and lifestyle.

That’s what she recommends using for discovering your strengths.

Create a Google Survey with the following questions:

What are 3 words to describe me?

What are my 3 biggest strengths?

What is my biggest superpower?

What is my hidden strength?

What would you like me to learn about?

What do you think could be holding me back?

Then, share this survey with at least 3-5 people you think know you the best, perhaps your relatives, friends, classmates, professors, mentors, etc.

Take this as a small assignment for this month. You might find out your strengths sooner than you think.

Feel free to share with me how your experience was.
